It's the 200th anniversary of the show, but it's a first for us!

I have always wanted to show my knitwear at the Royal Highland Show, because it is just the type of event that I love to attend myself!

I’ve lived in rural areas for most of my life and it is a privilege to be a very small part of such an important date in the calendar, which brings together industrious people from across rural Scotland.

The Royal Highland Show

The show is the flagship event of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. Along with its famous competitions for animals, the exhibition is a showcase and celebration of farming, food and rural life.

The Shetland Makers stand

Katie will be there to introduce you (or welcome you back!) to a range of our contemporary Shetland-made knitwear. It'll be a great chance to browse and try things on, especially if you've never been able to before.

Maybe there's something you'd particularly like to see? Let us know!

On the Shetland Makers stand you'll also find Shetland wool, artisan knits and tweed pieces from The Silly Sheep, art glass from Glansin Glass and pieces by Yala Jewellery Shetland. And Shetland's Mella Soap will be nearby, too.

You'll also find some of Shetland's makers of fine produce at this year's show—all part of the special Highlands and Islands presence for the 2022 exhibition.

See you there?
