Design notes from Niela
A celebration, in knit, of ten years of Nielanell - and ten years in Hoswick.
My tenth anniversary collection is knitted in a complex five colour jacquard, in extra-fine merino yarn. This gives beautifully subtle shading and colour (some not-so-subtle colour, too - in the highlights). The reverse of the fabric is a lovely 'birdseye' speckle.
The design is inspired by colour and texture in my home village of Hoswick, Shetland, and was created from mark-making around the shore and the village.
